Presently the LP of California is running fifth in voter registrations, behind the two Old Parties as well as the American Independent (third) and Green (fourth) parties.  The Party counts a victory those times when any of the Party's candidates outpolls a Green in a partisan election.

Clearly the Party needs to strengthen itself in the political arena.  A quick way to at least signal the intent to do so is to upgrade its governing Bylaws, and streamline its Convention Rules.  During the annual Convention, this year April 20 - 22 in San Ramon, the Party will be doing just that.

An appointed panel has come up with a list of suggested changes, which will presumably result in a more effective set of documents.  (The source for each of the linked documents is an email that was forwarded to us, originating with the Party's Northern Vice Chair.)

Some of these are solid, and make sense.  Some are less so.  As Registered Libertarians, who would like the Party to succeed, we have some differences and opinions which we hope are worthy of consideration by the delegates.
